7. Clutch Disc/Clutch Plate/Release Bearing/Pilot Bearing
When using a mechanical bellhousing, use a standard 26‑spline 10.5‑ or 11‑inch disc and corresponding pressure plate depending on which flywheel you are using. When using a hydraulic bellhousing, the most popular 10.5‑inch clutch, pressure plate, and release bearing set seems to be Ram 88730.
In my 1986 Monte Carlo SS (462606 bellhousing), I installed a 10.5‑inch Hays Street clutch disc, a parts store rebuilt pressure plate, a Hayes release bearing, and a Summit roller pilot bearing.
Unless a manual transmission parts car was acquired for the swap, new pressure plate bolts and lock washers are also required.
