2. FrameLater model GM G bodies had additional bracing on the driver’s side of the frame for mounting the TH200-4R crossmember (compare Figure 2-1 and Figure 2-2). Other enthusiasts have published their method of installing the T5 in 1978-1988 GM A/G bodies that take advantage of the newer bracing. However, my method of installing the T5 uses the mounting points that exist on all model years as illustrated in Figure 2-2.
